Coozie
by Dave Undis and Dave Demay
VERSE
A camp fire under the stars, a case of beer on ice,
A firefly ballet, it’s a back yard paradise.
If I eat any more fried chicken, I think I’ll probably burst.
I guess I better open a couple of buttons first.
The radio’s playing something soft and bluesy.
Nothing could make this night any better. I even have a coozie.
CHORUS
My beer stays cold.
The can don’t sweat.
It’s easier to hold.
My hand don’t get wet.
If anything’s better than that, it eludes me.
Mm, mm, mm…I love my coozie.
VERSE
Snuggling up to me is my darling down home girl.
I swear there ain’t a sweeter girl in the whole wide world.
When she wiggles into her blue jeans she takes my breath away.
When she takes them off, well I’m a gentleman so I can’t say.
She’s smart and tough, and she loves me truly.
No one could make my life any better. So I gave her a coozie.
CHORUS
Her beer stays cold.
The can don’t sweat.
It’s easier to hold.
Her hand don’t get wet.
If anything’s better than that, it eludes me.
Mm, mm, mm…She loves her coozie.
BRIDGE
We’re both ready for another beer.
Thank God we’ve got our coozies here.
CHORUS
Our beer stays cold.
The cans don’t sweat.
They’re easier to hold.
Our hands don’t get wet
If anything’s better than that, it eludes me.
Mm, mm, mm…We love our coozies.

Dip
by Dave Undis and Michael Skotte
VERSE
The moonlight looks good on you.
I bet the river would too.
Let’s go for a swim alone.
I know a place off the old dirt road.
Why don’t the two of us hop in my car?
It’s a really nice night and it’s not too far.
CHORUS
We don’t need our swim suits. We can just strip.
How about a race? I’ll help you unzip.
The weather don’t ever get better than this.
Let’s get naked. Let’s go for a dip.
VERSE
I’ve got a couple of inner tubes
And a picnic basket full of food.
I’ve got some moonshine in my flask
And a blanket to spread on the grass.
We can swim ‘till we’re as wrinkled as prunes.
No one will see us but the man in the moon.
CHORUS
We don’t need our swim suits. We can just strip.
How about a race? I’ll help you unzip.
The weather don’t ever get better than this.
Let’s get naked. Let’s go for a dip.
BRIDGE
We can wade in slow, or we can jump in quick.
We can bring some towels, or we can just drip.
CHORUS
We don’t need our swim suits. We can just strip.
How about a race? I’ll help you unzip.
The weather don’t ever get better than this.
We don’t need our swim suits. We can just strip.
How about a race? I’ll help you unzip.
The weather don’t ever get better than this.
Let’s get naked. Let’s go for a dip.
Let’s get naked. Let’s go for a dip.

Hand It Down
by Dave Undis and Michael Skotte
VERSE
Over by the trout stream, there’s an old stone cross.
Your great grandpa Jack fought in the war.
Grandpa Billy’s ashes are scattered by the oak tree.
That’s where he used to sit and read.
He laid down his life for you and me.
CHORUS
Freedom is a hand-me-down.
I’m handing it to you.
I got it from your Grandpa.
He got it from his Dad too.
I know you’ll make me proud
When your turn comes around
To hand it down.
VERSE
Tomorrow I’ll be going somewhere far away.
I might be away a long, long time.
You watch over mama and your sister too.
It’s a real man’s job to do.
I know we can all count on you.
CHORUS
Freedom is a hand-me-down.
I’m handing it to you.
I got it from your Grandpa.
He got it from his Dad too.
I know you’ll make me proud
When your turn comes around
To hand it down.
BRIDGE
Freedom is a precious gift.
Take good care of it.
CHORUS
Freedom is a hand-me-down.
I’m handing it to you.
I got it from your Grandpa.
He got it from his Dad too.
I know you’ll make me proud
When your turn comes around
To hand it down.

Redneck Ritz
by Dave Undis and Michael Skotte
VERSE
Bubba calls his farm the Redneck Ritz.
You ought to go and stay there when you’re in the sticks.
Everybody’s welcome, the price is right,
And there’s a picking party every night.
You can sleep in the barn or under the stars
Or in the vans on cinder blocks out in the yard.
There’s always room, pets are always welcome,
The bar is open 24/7.
CHORUS
At the Redneck Ritz you don’t need reservations.
BYOB is the price of admission.
Ain’t no checking in, just park in the yard.
Ain’t no dress code, come as you are.
It’s short on swank, it’s got no glitz.
It’s hillbilly heaven, the Redneck Ritz.
VERSE
Sit by the henhouse if you want shade.
Sip a jar of moonshine and lemonade.
There’s homemade pork rinds if you want a snack,
And critter stew in the pot out back.
There’s speakers on the porch, music on the breeze.
You can close your eyes, pretend you’re in Belize.
In the summer the shed is hot as a sauna.
You can sit in there and sweat if you wanna.
BRIDGE
If you need a ride they’ll pick you up.
You can ride with the pigs and chickens in the back of their truck.
CHORUS
At the Redneck Ritz you don’t need reservations.
BYOB is the price of admission.
Ain’t no checking in, just park in the yard.
Ain’t no dress code…
At the Redneck Ritz you don’t need reservations.
BYOB is the price of admission.
Ain’t no checking in, just park in the yard.
Ain’t no dress code, come as you are.
It’s short on swank, it’s got no glitz.
It’s hillbilly heaven, the Redneck Ritz.

Love At First Fight
by Dave Undis and Ed Bentley
VERSE
I can't recall what the fight was about.
Nothing important, no doubt.
You stuck to your guns, I stuck to mine.
We're both the stubborn kind.
We never had a fight before.
Next thing I knew you were out the door.
CHORUS
Turns out all I did was think about you.
I found out how much I hurt without you,
And I realized
It was love. It was love at first fight.
VERSE
It felt like hell thinking you were gone.
I stopped caring who was right or wrong.
Thought you're a big fool, if you don't tell her,
Heard a knock on the door, there you were.
I said “I’m sorry”, you said “me too”.
It feels like heaven, being back with you.
CHORUS
Turns out all I did was think about you.
I found out how much I hurt without you,
And I realized
It was love. It was love at first fight.
BRIDGE
That fight turned out to be a real good thing.
Now let’s fight about the size of a ring.
CHORUS
Turns out all I do is think about you.
I don’t ever want to be without you
Since I realized
It was love. It was love at first fight.
It was love. It was love at first fight.

You’re Gonna Drive Me To Quit Drinking
by Dave Undis and Jackie Hubbard
VERSE
I’m trying to forget about you.
I’m not crying like I used to do.
I’m dying to leave all that hurting behind.
But whenever I hit the whiskey
Or tequila gets me tipsy
I can’t help but drink you on my mind.
CHORUS
I miss you more
With every drink I pour.
It’s a problem, and it needs fixing.
If I can’t find another way to
Finally get over you,
I swear you’re gonna drive me to quit drinking.
VERSE
It’s a curse. I taste your kiss
Every time I take a sip.
I see your face in every glass.
And the memories get clearer
Whenever I open a beer or
Smell the bourbon in my flask.
CHORUS
I miss you more
With every drink I pour.
It’s a problem, and it needs fixing.
If I can’t find another way to
Finally get over you,
I swear you’re gonna drive me to quit drinking.
BRIDGE
If I have to stay sober
I’ll do it to get some closure.
CHORUS
I miss you more
With every drink I pour.
It’s a problem, and it needs fixing.
If I can’t find another way to
Finally get over you,
I swear you’re gonna drive me to quit drinking.
Oh, girl, you’re gonna drive me to quit drinking.

The Walls Of This Honky Tonk
by Dave Undis and Jackie Hibbard
VERSE
Hank and Waylon and Willie have all played here,
Back when a quarter would buy you a beer.
In a poker game by the back door two rednecks lost their trucks.
They both had four of a kind but they couldn't beat a straight flush.
CHORUS
These walls have heard so many cry and sing.
They've seen the tears, the laughter, and the pain.
Memories live in the plywood, the nails, and the caulk.
Man, if the walls of this honky tonk could talk.
VERSE
A judge was kissing his girl one night when his wife walked in.
She grabbed a pool cue and broke it across his chin.
A biker pulled a knife on a cowboy. He didn’t like the way he talked.
An hour later that biker was outlined in chalk.
CHORUS
These walls have heard so many cry and sing.
They've seen the tears, the laughter, and the pain.
Memories live in the plywood, the nails, and the caulk.
Man, if the walls of this honky tonk could talk.
BRIDGE
Broken hearts, broken homes,
Broken noses, broken bones.
First drinks, last arrests.
First kisses, last breaths.
CHORUS
These walls have heard so many cry and sing.
They've seen the tears, the laughter, and the pain.
Memories live in the plywood, the nails, and the caulk.
Man, if the walls of this honky tonk could talk.
OUT
Broken hearts, broken homes,
Broken noses, broken bones.
First drinks, last arrests.
First kisses, last breaths.
Broken hearts, broken homes,
Broken noses, broken bones.
First drinks, last arrests.
First kisses, last breaths.

On The 8th Day God Created Bluegrass
by Dave Undis
VERSE
God created the heavens and the earth, and he saw that it was good.
On the seventh day he rested, and threw a party for the neighborhood.
The heavenly host blew their trumpets, the choir of angels sang.
As he listened God couldn’t help but think they sure could use a little twang.
CHORUS
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s some of his very best work.
It’s the finest kind of music anyone’s ever heard.
Six days to make the whole universe, one day to add that sound.
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s the sweetest sound around.
VERSE
God took apart one of the pearly gates, and he made the first guitar.
He made a mandolin and a Dobro from the heart of a shooting star.
He used lightning to fashion a fiddle, and thunder to build a bass.
He turned some halos into a banjo, sat down and started picking away.
CHORUS
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s some of his very best work.
It’s the finest kind of music anyone’s ever heard.
Six days to make the whole universe, one day to add that sound.
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s the sweetest sound around.
BRIDGE
Satan wouldn’t play along
So he was banished down below.
As he left, he said you’ll be hearing from me.
I’m inventing rock and roll.
CHORUS
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s some of his very best work.
It’s the finest kind of music anyone’s ever heard.
Six days to make the whole universe, one day to add that sound.
On the 8th day God created bluegrass. It’s the sweetest sound around.

I Got Caught

I Got Caught
by Dave Undis and Frank Prenevost
VERSE
It was a perfect day for fishing. I’d been out since first light.
No matter what I put on my hook I couldn’t get a single bite.
I rowed my boat back to the dock. I thought I’d call it a day.
When I got to the shore I saw a girl who took my breath away.
CHORUS
She lured me with a wiggle. I nibbled when she winked.
I bit hard when she said “Can I buy you a drink?”
She set the hook with a come on look. Her smile reeled me in.
Yeah I went fishing. I didn’t catch nothing. I got caught.
VERSE
She had some really great equipment. Her bait was really fine.
That girl she knew just what to wear and how to cast her line.
This ain’t a tale about the one that got away.
That’s not at all how it played out. She landed me that day.
CHORUS
She lured me with a wiggle. I nibbled when she winked.
I bit hard when she said “Can I buy you a drink?”
She set the hook with a come on look. Her smile reeled me in.
Yeah I went fishing. I didn’t catch nothing. I got caught.
BRIDGE
She’s got me wrapped around her little finger.
I fell for her - hook, line, and sinker.
CHORUS
She lured me with a wiggle. I nibbled when she winked.
I bit hard when she said “Can I buy you a drink?”
She set the hook with a come on look. Her smile reeled me in.
Yeah I went fishing. I didn’t catch nothing. I got caught.
I got caught.
I got caught.
I got caught.

Snow At The Cabin
by Dave Undis and Fred “Butch” Burns
VERSE
We drove our family to the cabin, our place way deep in the woods.
A weekend full of relaxing would do our minds and bodies good.
Just when we all got settled, a big old blizzard hit.
It’s been snowing over a week now, and it ain’t slowed down a bit.
CHORUS
There’s snow at the cabin. All of us are stranded.
The wind is a blasting. The windows are rattling.
Our nerves are a frazzling. Boredom is attacking.
We need some distracting. There’s snow at the cabin.
VERSE
So Dad started picking his banjo, and Mom started plucking her bass.
Aunt Mae started sawing a fiddle, the baby banged on a plate.
Grandma grabbed the washboard, the dogs all howled along,
And the girls and I commenced to singing a sweet old mountain song.
CHORUS
There’s snow at the cabin. It’s a real happening.
Our toes are a tapping. Our hands are a clapping.
We’re joking. We’re laughing. We’re singing. We’re dancing.
Oh what fun we’re having. There’s snow at the cabin.
VERSE
Well just as the music got started, the sun decided to shine.
The snow it commenced to melting, the temperature began to rise.
We still have lots of firewood. The food ain’t running low.
We decided we like being stranded, and we ain’t going home.
CHORUS
There’s snow at the cabin. It’s a real happening.
Our toes are a tapping. Our hands are a clapping.
We’re joking. We’re laughing. We’re singing. We’re dancing.
Oh what fun we’re having. There’s snow at the cabin.
We’re singing. We’re dancing. Oh what fun we’re having.
We ain’t going nowhere. There’s snow at the cabin.
We ain’t going nowhere. There’s snow at the cabin.
